VINCE LIVE

We are now in the pilot phase with two clients, and we are adding 2-3 more. People can start contacting Peder Floer now and we will then make sure they are kept in the loop.

As a Vince Live customer, you can run M3 in the cloud and M3 on prem. In general, we say version 13.4 is the requirement, but, as long as you use the ION suite you can run Vince Live, because Vince Live uses the ION API gateway to access information. This means that even if you are on earlier versions like 13.2 or 13.3 you can also use Vince Live, provided you use the ION suite. In other words, Vince Live does not support early on prem versions like 10.1.

You can specify a lot by yourself as an end-user. That is the goal with Vince Live. So, end-users can build their own workflows and take advantage of all the workflows that Vince shares. But, if you want to build something advanced on top of Vince Live and/or create a customer-specific front-end, then consultants can help you with that.

You retrieve M3 data from the cloud via M3 rest APIs in the ION gateways which Vince Live will access. This is the secure solution from Infor. Alternatively, if you have other systems using rest APIs, you can access you M3 data in the cloud via those. Finally, if you can push data from within your On Prem solution into Vince Live using either existing solutions within that system or via using ION. – Additionally, an On Prem agent will be developed later.

Security has been a focus area since day one of Vince Live. First of all, multi-factor authentication has been implemented. Secondly, a lot of penetration testing has been done by the company River Security to ensure that there are no open gates into Vince Live. We therefore claim that the fundamentals of Vince Live are secure. Data isolation is also key, i.e., no tenant data can be accessed by another tenant. This is done using best practises within AWS. Built-in security features secure that. New features in Vince Live will also be validated from this standpoint. Both unit testing, regression testing and functionality testing by users and test experts within security will be carried out. Security testing is done bottom-up. Vince has an on-going relationship with River Security to constantly re-evaluate the strategy within security. So far, River Security have been impressed by what Vince have done.

Pricing for Vince Live is a subscription-based model. Plus, there is also a very easy entry-level for new clients. You can subscribe only to few workflows if you want to. Or you can chose a module-based model where you can adapt a larger number of workflows or application integrations.
Finally, you can subscribe to the whole Vince Live platform. In any event, pricing is regulated based on the number of M3 users running the scenarios. For existing clients, we will be offering an advantageous price to migrate to Vince Live. It is also import to stress that you can upscale and downscale in Vince Live – a very flexible model.

There are several reasons for that. First of all, AWS was Infor’s choice for M3 multi-tenant cloud. Plus, Vince had experience with AWS from before. These two are the main reasons.
Different cloud providers were considered: AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. AWS has a very big market share on the serverless part of the cloud offering. There are so many options and possibilities. AWS were mature compared to the others, and AWS had the biggest package. The others seemed behind. And, again, because we already knew AWS it was kind of a natural choice.

The Vince Live platform is there. We just need to give you a tenant. Then, all features and workflows in accordance with your license are available. To start using them, you then need to add the connections to M3 or other systems. With Vince’s Painkillers you have a lot of ready-made functions. So, you will quickly be ready to start!

General comments regarding the implementation journey today:
The implementation of Painkillers – implementation… clicking, install or import is very simple.
If you have a tenant already, you will get the workflow into your account, if you do not have a tenant, you will be sent in to register for a tenant. For now, it is not ready, therefore we will create it for you, and you will then have access to the Painkillers you have chosen.
Within M3, creating a connection is a 5-step process within ION to create the necessary information needed in Vince Live to connect to your M3 system. It is a straightforward process. A video showing how this is done will be released soon. It will be available on the web.

You can manage your users in different ways:
1) Managing users within Vince Live is possible. You can create users within Vince Live and group users by roles or control their access by roles.
2) Alternatively, you can administrate users by using the link to Active Directory using SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) and the integration to AD.

A lot of existing functionality is already covered in Vince Live. VSE (Vince Security) will be lifted to cloud to Vince Live later.
The total functionality will be split into pieces. Features will be separated. All functionalities will be lifted. Existing customers can merge to the cloud solution. For the applications dealing with items, Vince also has plans for that. This will also be part of Vince Live in the future. The roadmap has not been decided upon yet.

There are no existing plans to stop future development for VXL or VBU and they will continue their life as separate applications. If any existing clients see demands not covered in VXL or VBU, but are handled in Vince Live, a conversion package to Vince Live will be offered.
